Research focus
Our group studies high-accuracy electronic-structure methods from two directions: we place widely used computational tools on firmer mathematical ground, and we design new algorithms that extend the scale of realistic simulations in chemistry and materials science.

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, with a courtesy appointment in Chemistry and Chemical Biology. I hold the Eliza Ricketts Foundation Career Development Chair.
My research advances the mathematical and computational foundations of quantum many-body science. We develop, implement, and analyze numerical methods on classical and quantum computers for applications in chemistry, physics, and materials science.
